This was shot on a trip to a place where I used to live (not the house in the photo, but nearby) and had not been back to in over a decade. It was amazing dusting off the cobwebs of memory to navigate those roads again, from my perspective now. I really enjoyed it. Funny how our experiences and minds keep memories afloat that way. All elements were shot from a moving vehicle (in no traffic, going slowly, seatbelt on). As is often the case, this reflects the subconscious influence of Jerry Uelsmann, the ultimate surrealist photomontage master. See alternate versions and originals at Flickr.
